Internal Medicine
We provide routine, preventive and illness-related primary healthcare services to patients of all ages. Also, we can arrange for any specialized care you or a family member may require. Nearly all physician-related care and ancillary testing services which you may need are all available here at Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center. Monitoring Your Heart The hospital is specifically designed to allow close monitoring of your heart rate and rhythm by means of a telemetry monitor. The telemetry monitor is a small box connected to your chest by wires and electrodes. As long as you are wearing the telemetry monitor, your heart rate and and rhythm are being closely monitored. The telemetry monitor may be removed if you leave the unit for a test or procedure. At some point, your physician may decide that you no longer need to wear the telemetry monitor, even if you still need to remain within the hospital.
